Serving the public is all I know. Whether it was bussing tables at my parents' restaurant as a teenager, managing a nonprofit for new immigrants after college, fighting poverty through philanthropy during law school, or litigating as a City attorney. That's why I'm running to represent Southern Brooklyn in the City Council: so that I can continue serving the neighborhoods I love.​

I've called Bay Ridge home for over a decade. I met my husband here and we own a small business here. I have spent much of my time working here, too, including for Council Member Justin Brannan, where I learned how to do the job I'm running for.

A Council Member is the elected official who handles the everyday issues that affect your quality of life. I'm running to make sure that all of us in Bay Ridge and Coney Island have the beautiful parks, clean sidewalks, safe streets, and good schools we deserve. I'll work with my colleagues in the council to tackle New York City's affordability crisis, so that you and your family can afford to stay and thrive here. And because small businesses are such a big part of our neighborhoods (and because I know how hard it can be to run one), I'll do everything I can to make it easier to open and run your business here.

Southern Brooklyn is home to some of the hardest working people in the City, who deserve a government that makes their lives easier, not harder. Starting from day one, my number one goal will be to make your life in this city easier. No matter what party you belong to, how long you've been here, what you do for a living, or what language you speak, I hope I can earn your support.
